The Swamp Twinflower (Dyschoriste humistrata) is a native annual or short-lived perennial found in wetland habitats throughout North America.
Prefers Full sun to part shade, moist loam or sandy soil.
Excellent ground cover growing 6-24" tall and a width of 6-12"
Low/no salt tolerance, Prefers acidic to neutral soil pH
It is the larval host for common buckeye (Junonia coenia). It's lavender bell-shaped flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Its foliage provides cover and food for wildlife, while its flowers offer nectar, pollen, and seeds.
