Seasonal Update: It’s Dormancy Season! Many of our plants are currently dormant (resting for winter). They may arrive looking brown or leafless, but their roots are healthy and ready to grow come spring.

Why We Love Dormancy (And You Should Too)
You might notice our plants are looking a little bare. Don't worry, this is actually the best time to plant! When a plant is dormant, it isn't expending energy on keeping leaves green. Instead, it focuses all its energy on root development. By receiving a dormant plant now, you are reducing transplant shock. You are giving the plant time to establish its roots in your soil before the heat of summer.
This "Ugly Phase" is temporary and is often sign of a healthy plant that has not been pushed out of dormancy. Grown right here in Nassau County, your plant is already in sync with our seasons and it's enviornment. Trust the roots, and get ready for a healthier, stronger plant this spring.
