End transplant shock, promote nutrient and water uptake, grow healthier plants with Big Foot Granular! It is a must have for gardening in Florida’s heat. Big Foot Granular has a unique advantage when it comes to soil amendments and it’s the reason we use it. It contains all our favorites for building healthy soil; endomychorrizae, biochar, kelp, worm castings and humic acid. These provide the essential building blocks for plant growth.
Apply directly to roots to create a fungi and microbe rich soil food web for your plant to thrive in. Roots establish quicker and your plants grow faster with better yields and healthier soil.
Why is it a valuable tool for establishing and growing healthy plants?
Enhanced Nutrient Uptake
Mycorrhizal fungi form a symbiotic relationship with plant roots, extending the root system's reach and increasing its surface area. This drastically improves the plant's ability to absorb essential nutrients, especially phosphorus, which can be less available in Florida's sandy soils.
Improved Water Absorption
The fungal network also helps plants access and retain water more efficiently. This is particularly beneficial in Florida's climate, which can experience periods of drought. Drought stress can be a significant challenge for newly planted natives, and mycorrhizae can help them become established more quickly.
Increased Stress Tolerance
By improving nutrient and water uptake, mycorrhizae help plants better withstand environmental stressors like heat, drought, and even transplant shock. This is crucial for plants as they adapt to their new environment in your landscape.
Healthier Soil
The organic fertilizer component of the product provides essential nutrients and promotes beneficial microbial activity in the soil. This creates a healthy soil ecosystem that supports the growth of plants and enhances their long-term health.
Reduced Need for Synthetic Fertilizers
Since mycorrhizae improve nutrient uptake, you may find that your plants require less frequent applications of chemical fertilizers, which can be harmful to the environment.
Specifically beneficial for Native Plants:
- Fast adaptation to lean soils
- A mycorrhizae boost can help them outcompete invasive species
- Creates a more balanced and resilient native plant community
How to use:
Big Foot Granular must make direct contact with the roots of the plant.
