Bare root trees are field grown trees that have been dug up while dormant. Once they arrive at ANW they are ‘heeled in’ which is a process to keep trees healthy and to protect their roots from drying out until they’re ready for planting.

This method offers superior planting success because their undisturbed root systems are kept dormant and hydrated, ensuring optimal health and rapid establishment in your soil and landscape. This contrasts with container-grown trees that often experience root circling and stress.
